The Bees Knees: 100 Postcards For Honey Bees – July 19th, 2014
The Bees Knees is an awareness and fundraising exhibition for HoneyLove, urban bee keepers and activists trying to help our honey bee population. The Exhibition will feature 100 artworks on postcards from artists all around the world. All postcards will be priced $5-$50, and available to take home right away showing your support along with a honey tasting feature local harvested honey. On the back of each postcard is a special message about how you can help the bees. 100% of all sales go to HoneyLove and their commitment to save the bees! We aim to raise awareness, bring hope and also create a dialogue about the importance of bees. http://honeylove.org

Flora & Fauna: Axis Gallery – May 1st, 2014
Gallery AXIS presents “Flora & Fauna”, an exhibit bringing together two Seattle based artists whose exquisite attention to detail is apparent in depictions of the foliage like forms which weave throughout their compositions. From bats and delicate sea creatures to animal skulls and whale skeleton, Michelle Anderst and Joe Vollan share a fascination for the dark and lushly intricate forms in nature.
Ex Libris: 100 Artists, 100 Books: Axis Gallery- March 6th, 2014
Ex Libris: 100 Artists, 100 Books is an exciting exhibition that aims to bring together the worlds of visual art and literature. This exhibition is inspired by the presence of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP), which will be visiting Seattle in February, 2014.
The invited artists will present works that draw inspiration from books that are important or special to them. All genres will be represented, from sci-fi to non-fiction, poetry to romance.
This exhibition is curated by Seattle artist, Siolo Thompson
A selection of these works of art will be on display during AWP at the Washington State Convention Center, from Feb. 26 – March 1st.

Tanks and Helmets: Piranha Shop- March 1st, 2014
The second annual Tanks and Helmets will showcase the works of 30+ artists, displaying their work on the unfamiliar canvas of plastic or steel to communicate their perspective on a kustom kulture that has been around forever.

Spectral Menagerie: Bherd Gallery- November 9 – December 13, 2013
Seattle artists Joe Vollan and Megon Shore explore the afterworld of the animal kingdom in their collaborative exhibition, Spectral Menagerie. Ghost animals, deaths-head moths and nodding calla lilies appear in their paintings, charting a course through the afterlife that is by turns eerie, haunting and beautiful.
Vollan, whose works on canvas, panel and fimo clay describe tales of heartache and adventure, take place in the city of Rusted Gallows, populated primarily by friendly skeletons. The characters in his works demonstrate that there can be contentment and hope in an otherwise dilapidated world. Shore is a tattoo artist at the Greenwood-based Fist Full of Metal Tattoo Studio, and previously apprenticed at Under the Needle Tattoo Studio in Seattle. She also studied printmaking at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC. Both artists painstakingly create pieces that discover the essence of life after death and find the loveliness that lies within the unknown.
